Tottenham are looking to bring in a 20-year-old defensive ace following Ange Postecoglou’s youth philosophy
It does not come as a surprise that Ange Postecoglou and his Tottenham Hotspur have been in the running to sign Genoa defender Radu Dragusin. It is becoming more and more likely that the team will be able to land a deal for the 21-year-old.
Most players that Tottenham have been linked with leading up to the transfer window are all young. Postecoglou is only looking to bring in young players and another one that fits the bill perfectly is 20-year-old defensive ace Giorgio Scalvini.
The young defenders Dragusin and Scalvini are among the best in Italy at the moment. They have often been compared to one another and both have garnered a lot of interest from several prominent clubs around the world.
Giorgio Scalvini towers even Dragusin at 1.94m and is a nightmare for most attackers to get past. His stellar performance for Serie A side Atlanta BC has made him known throughout the football world.
Tottenham are already closing in on a deal for Dragusin. Getting the Italian superstar as well will be the perfect scenario for the club. The Lilywhites might also draw out of the race for Jean-Clair Todibo since a deal for him will take longer than a week.
Postecoglou needs new players and he needs them now. The team’s campaign is on the line and Ange does not want to bear the risk with a depleted roster. Time is of the essence and the team will sign whoever they can as long as the process is swift.
