With the amount of hard work and dedication put in, it looks like it is just a matter of few months before Tottenham move into their brand new £850m stadium. We moved to Wembley in the summer, after the beginning of the new stadium construction in place of the old White Hart Lane ground. Though we have beaten European heavyweights Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund at Wembley, our team has somewhat blown hot and cold in the home league games.
Despite enjoying decent success at Wembley, there has always been an eye on the development of our new stadium. There is some reasonable excitement amongst the fans over the recent progress in the stadium’s shape. Credit to the club as they have been consistent with the updates throughout the campaign, ensuring that the fans have been kept on the edge of their seats.
Last time, we saw the workers fitting navy blue tiles to the exterior of the North Stand of the new stadium. It also added a welcome touch of colour to the glass-clad colossal stadium. The club have time and again said that the new stadium will be opened for the 2018/19 season and although they have already made great development, there is still a lot of work to be done before it can be completed.
Tottenham’s new stadium, which will open in time for the start of the 2018/19 Premier League season, will hold its first NFL game when the Seattle Seahawks play the Oakland Raiders on October 14.
Yesterday, our club released some fresh pictures via their official Twitter account, providing a bird’s-eye view of the new stadium. Watching the recent update, it is safe to say that a large number of our supporters seemed pleased with how things are panning out. Here we bring you the best of reactions from our fan base.
