Former Tottenham captain Ledley King has come out and stated that Spurs are actually building success while other clubs are spending crazy amounts of money and buying success.
King was speaking to William Hill Arms and was quoted by the Express as saying that spending large amounts of money leads to difficult situations but Spurs are run the right way.
“Players are still signing and renewing contracts, whether it’s the manager or Harry [Kane]. They’re happy about being part of this process.”
The former defender also was quick to suggest that there might be other clubs looking to spend money on players for success but not us.
“The club tries to do things the right way, build up. Maybe there are other teams out there that are willing to pay astronomical sums of money to players for success, but we’re building the success rather than buying it.”
We have been doing a lot of work on our stadium too and King went on to praise Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentine has turned us into a top-four club and we have been close to even picking up the title too.
“The manager is building something, hopefully the stadium is the final piece of the jigsaw and once the team gets home they’ll be able to build some momentum to start winning things in the next five or 10 years.
“Hopefully they can become one of the top clubs in Europe.”
Harry Kane and a number of other players have pledged their futures to the club and if things go right, we will win a number of trophies in the coming years.

Pochettino certainly is doing a great job here and with a very less net spend of since the Argentine’s arrival at the club, there will be many clubs who will look at us with envy, thanks to the great work behind the scenes too.
