Tottenham’s first summer business could depend on Liverpool youngster’s loan move to Championship club

Aston Villa’s move for Liverpool youngster Ben Woodburn could open the door for Jack Grealish to move to Tottenham according to Sky Sports expert Dharmesh Sheth.

Grealish has been linked with a move to Tottenham all summer but the deal seemed to be off after the new owners had reportedly claimed that they are not looking to sell any of their stars before the start of the campaign.

Sheth, however, believes that Villa’s interest in Woodburn could be related to the 22-year-old Grealish leaving the club.

The expert was quoted by the Express as saying:

“(Jurgen) Klopp is a big admirer of Woodburn but it is thought he feels a season at the right club would benefit his development.

“Sheffield United are also keen on Woodburn, while Wigan’s approach was rejected.

“One wonders if Villa’s interest is linked to Jack Grealish departing the club.”

Woodburn would spend a year on loan should the deal take place but from our point of view, this could be a move which could see us sign our first player of the summer. It has been a disappointing window so far but Mauricio Pochettino has stated that the club is looking to sign players.

Grealish moving to Tottenham would be a decent deal but we only have less than two weeks to go before the transfer window closes, so a lot of crazy work has to take place at the club if we are to get quality players in.
