Former Tottenham director of football Damien Comolli is leading Fenerbahce’s bid to sign Moussa Sissoko, according to the Sun.
The report claims the Turkish giants want to sign the Frenchman on loan with an option to buy.
Sissoko joined Tottenham from Newcastle a couple of years ago for a fee of £30million (h/t The Sun) but has failed to get regular first-team minutes at the club.
The Frenchman started in our 2-1 win over the Magpies on the opening day but did not get any minutes in the win over Fulham.
The report adds that the Frenchman is contracted to Spurs until 2021 and Fenerbahce hope Sissoko can help them win the Turkish league this season.
The report further claims the Turkish transfer window is open until 1st September. Spurs can sell to other leagues but not add to their team until the January window.
Tottenham were the only club in the Premier League not to sign a player in the summer window but Sissoko’s departure this season would not be a bad deal for the parties involved.

The French midfielder would want to start regularly, something that would not happen at Tottenhan this season. The 29-year-old could be a hit at Fenerbahce and it will be interesting to see what figure the Turkish giants would be willing to pay when making the deal permanent.
