Calcio Mercato reports that the English media are linking Tottenham with a move for Fiorentina striker Giovanni Simeone in the winter window.
The report adds that Mauricio Pochettino is looking for a Harry Kane back-up. The English striker has been on fire in the last few seasons and the report adds that Simeone is a serious option for Tottenham.
Simeone started the Serie A season with a goal and an assist in Fiorentina’s 6-1 hammering of Chievo and the report claims that he would not come on the cheap either.
Fiorentina are on the lookout for a fee of €40m for the 23-year-old Argentine and Atletico Madrid are also interested in the youngster, as per the report.
Atletico would be an interesting choice for Simeone’s next club as he would be playing under his father, Diego, in the La Liga.
The 23-year-old had a productive season for Fiorentina last time as he scored 14 times and provided four assists in the Serie A.
The striker is a talent and it will be interesting to see if Fiorentina are willing to sell him for the right price.
Moving to Tottenham would demote the youngster to the bench and reduce his first-team minutes.

However, working under Mauricio Pochettino could help him reach the next level and we could always do with a quality attacker on the team after failing to sign anyone in the summer.
