Tottenham have made Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele a primary target for the winter window, according to the Mirror.
The Frenchman is enjoying a great season with Lyon and has also broken into the national team. The report adds that Manchester City are interested in the 21-year-old, who starred when the Premier League champions were beaten in the Champions League.
However, Pep Guardiola has other options in mind with as they look to bolster their team in the January window. Ruben Neves and Frenkie de Jong are a couple of other players that City are keeping tabs on, according to the report.
The French midfielder was a target for Spurs in the summer but the club had a £40million offer rejected, according to reports from France (h/t Mirror).
Ndombele seems to be a bit of a creator in the midfield too as the Frenchman has four assists from nine league games this season.
The report adds that the current price for the 21-year-old could be £55m since he signed a new deal with the Ligue 1 club.
Tottenham didn’t buy a single player in the summer window and we need to strengthen the team if we are going to challenge for top honours.

Spurs are currently a couple of points off the top of the Premier League table, and with the right additions to the team, we might be able to pick up some silverware at the end of the campaign.
