Tottenham legend Ossie Ardiles has claimed Mauricio Pochettino is happy at the club and has rejected moves to stay in London.
The Argentine was speaking to Football.london and was quoted as saying:
“For me he doesn’t need to tell me because I know exactly how he feels.
“He’s had opportunities in the past to move but he doesn’t want to move. He’s very happy here and I hope he continues for a long, long time.”
The report claims Pochettino signed a new deal with the club in May and is looking forward to leading the team out in the new stadium.
Spurs were a couple of points behind Manchester City and Liverpool before the Reds picked up a win over Cardiff City, and Ardiles was quick to heap praise on our manager for the great work he has done.
“Mauricio is doing a great job. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I would not swap Mauricio for any manager, not only in England but anybody in the world.
“After all the things that happened in the World Cup, a lot of players in the semi-finals, when they came back to him and we are only two points from the very top of the Premier League. From my point of view I feel very, very confident.”
Our manager certainly is one of the best in the world, and he has made Tottenham one of the best teams in England. Most of our players are getting better with each season under the Argentine and we could overtake City into second place should we beat them on Monday.

Tottenham have had their issues with tired players and injuries this season, but the manager has always put up a brave face and gotten on with his job.
