Tottenham suffered their third Premier League defeat of the campaign as Manchester City ran out 1-0 winners at Wembley.
Riyad Mahrez scored in the 6th minute as Manchester City went on top of the table, on goal difference, and opened up a five-point lead over Spurs.
Tottenham did have chances, with Erik Lamela missing a glorious chance. The loss meant we are fifth in the table, just a point off Arsenal in the race for the top four.
The Wembley pitch was a talking point too as the ground had hosted an NFL game just a day ago. Although the pitch played a role in the loss, we had to get something from the game to keep up with the unrelenting pace at the top of the table.
Mauricio Pochettino praised the performance at the end of the game, and several fans agreed that Spurs deserved something from the clash.
Deserved a point, Sissoko MOTM

We should have used our chances correctly, Man City played good, showed why they’re top of the league, but the ref done some dodgy decisions each way

Another cheap goal ruins an otherwise good performance, again. We were so much better with Eriksen and Dele on the pitch, desperately need them

We played well, we got beat because of a mistake and we didn’t equalise because of a mistake. No one to blame but ourselves but not a terrible performance. We go again. #TOTMCI

Sissoko was a brick👏👏 should have had eriksen, alli and winks on from the beginning though

We played well, Poch shouldn’t be sacked, and we deserved more.

Played better than I thought just need to finish our chances

We should’ve come away with a tie. Not our best performance. We must be more aggressive in the attack. #Spurs #COYS

Considering we haven’t got going this season that was a reasonable performance. Always on the back foot after the early goal need to cut out these silly mistakes #COYS
