Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is confident that the club could make signings in the winter window, in theory at least.
Spurs were the only club in the Premier League not to sign any players in the summer window, but Pochettino was certain changes could be made in the side, but wanted to see how things progress till January.
The manager was quoted by Football.london as saying:
“Yes of course but we are talking in theory and in practice it is difficult. We need to be careful how we are going to manage January. It is not an easy transfer window where you can do many things and not effect the dynamic of the team and the group.”
The former Southampton manager also claimed he would be looking at our situation in the inter window before deciding to make a move.
“We won’t know what will happen until we arrive and we are going to have the possibility to fix problems or not, or to keep going in the same way. That is going to manage your decision, getting the feeling when you arrive in the first part of the season.”
It will be interesting to see if we do dip into the transfer market in the winter window. Not freshening up the squad could be a huge problem for us in the remainder of the campaign.
However, we should avoid spending money just for the sake of it and get players that can make the side better.
