Tottenham have confirmed that star midfielder Mousa Dembele will not play any football till the start of 2019.
The Belgian injured his ankle during our 3-2 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers after just a minute. A tweet from the Spurs account added that the 31-year-old hurt his ankle ligament in the game against the Wolves.

This will come as a huge blow for the side as we have a number of injuries to deal with already. Jan Vertonghen is also out for a while and the likes of Danny Rose and Eric Dier are recuperating after picking up slight knocks.
The 31-year-old is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League on his day, and Tottenham have some tough fixtures coming up.
We play Crystal Palace, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Arsenal in our next four games, and there is no doubt Dembele will be missed in these clashes.
Some Tottenham fans showed their support to the injured star while many believed the time was right to sign a player in the winter window.
I swear if you don’t buy a midfielder

Buy a new midfielder or two in January 🙏🏻

I love Mousa and there aren’t many players like him, however it looks like his time may be done with Spurs as his injuries are too constant.. hopefully this will be addressed in Jan as there are some very good midfielders out there available at the right price. Sort it Daniel!
