Christian Eriksen to reject £30m January sale as he eyes summer exit
The Daily Mail reports that Tottenham fear Christian Eriksen will resist attempts to sell him in January. The Dane is out of a contract at the end of the season and has been far from his best this campaign.
The report adds that Mauricio Pochettino is “annoyed” that Eriksen is still at the club despite the Dane making it clear he wanted to leave in the summer.
Tottenham value the 27-year-old at £100m, however, they are at the risk of losing him for free at the end of the season (h/t Daily Mail).
Spurs are willing to sell him on the cheap in the January window, with sources claiming that £30m could be enough to seal a deal (h/t Daily Mail).
Eriksen looking at summer exit
The Dane will only leave Spurs for a top club, such as Real Madrid and Barcelona, but those offers are unlikely to come as Eriksen is out of a contract at the end of the season (h/t Daily Mail).
Eriksen would have the pick of clubs once he is a free agent and might also be offered a signing-on bonus in the summer, according to the report.
The Dane has only scored one goal in all competitions and was on the bench against Colchester United in the Carabao Cup.
