Premier League giants eye Turkish star Baris Alper Yilmaz

Tottenham Hotspur have expressed interest in landing Galatasaray winger Baris Alper Yilmaz in the ongoing summer transfer window.

The Turkish winger enjoyed a magnificent season in the Trendyol Süper Lig in the recently concluded campaign, and he replicated his club form in the European Championship with Turkey as well. His awe-inspiring capabilities have earned him an interest in a Premier League move as Spurs and Manchester United express their appeal to land his signatures this summer.

Both clubs are said to be ‘closely following’ the player, and they will have to fork out £26 million to snap his services up from the Turkish outfit, per Haber 3. Yilmaz scored seven goals in all competitions last season, along with a further tally of 12 assists, and he will be tasked with adding that goal-contributing prowess to whichever club manages to secure his services.

Can the Turkish sensation replicate his form in the Premier League?

The Lilywhites are looking to add a forward to their ranks who can consistently contribute on the scoreline, and the 24-year-old could be the answer to their transfer aspirations. Manchester United will be looking to replace exit-bound Jadon Sancho in the off-season, and the Turk could end up being an integral acquisition in that regard at Old Trafford.

Baris Alper Yilmaz is a versatile profile who can operate on both flanks, something both Ange Postecoglou and Erik ten Hag would love to add to their roster this summer.

From the player’s perspective, he will relish an opportunity to play in the Premier League and for one of the big six sides. Yilmaz would be hoping that a transfer to either side could materialize, as he has an opportunity to announce himself to world football after proving his quality in the Turkish top tier. However, it is important to remember that stepping into the English top tier would be a massive step forward in terms of the physical and technical attributes of the league.
