Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has finally lost paitence with error prone Gomes and after reports suggested that the Brazilian wants to move back to former club PSV, Redknapp isn’t hesitant about losing his former number one.
30 year old Gomes was dropped for the last three games of the season with Redknapp favouring Carlo Cudicini in goal in the games against Manchester City, Liverpool and Birmingham City.
Tottenham, who have also been linked with Birmingham’s Ben Foster, are set to secure the signing of Friedel on a free with the American’s contract expiring at Villa Park next month.
