Tottenham target Leandro Damiao is expected to leave Internacional this summer.
The Brazilian startlet has been in superb form for his club having hit 22 goals in 24 appearances.
Having attracted interest from Manchester United, Arsenal and Barcelona, it is Spurs who lead the race for the 21 year old due to their commerical relationship with the Brazilian side.
Former team mate Sandro revealed last week that he has recommended Leandro to the Spurs directors saying “The directors always talks to me about Brazilian players. They asked me about Leandro Damiao and I told them he’s a fantastic guy of high quality.”
“Hopefully we will knock on the door of Internacional very soon.”
A move now seems likely after club coach Paulo Roberto Falcao said “His departure is invevitable. But we hope to keep him for as much time as possible.”
Leandro is expected to cost between £10m-£15m.
