Reports in Italy suggest that Tottenham have had a bid of £9m rejected for Abel Hernandez.
Currently plying his trade with Palermo of Italy, the 20-year-old striker has been with the club since 2009 having signed from Penarol.
“It’s true. But for the time being I know (Palermo President Maurizio) Zamparini has turned it down,” the players agent, Vincenzo D’Ippolito, said when quizzed in regards to the offer.
“If indeed €10m then it would be considered too low as the value of the player is of €20m in the market.
“The transfer market had just started so we will see what happens.”
Spurs are known to be looking to sign a striker in the transfer window and recently had a bid of £10.6m turned down for Internacional’s Leandro Damiao.
