Athletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan claims a move to a Premiership club could be on the cards this transfer window.
The 32-year-old Uruguayan international has fallen out of favour with the Athleti fans and management and could be available at a cut price.
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has attempted to sign Forlan in the past two windows only to see the clubs offers rejected on both occasion.
However, with Spurs in desperate need of a new striker, Forlan, previously of Manchester United, may soon be Premier League bound.
Athleti president Enrique Cerezo claims the player, who has already turned down the overtures of Turkish giants Galatasaray, is keen on a move back to England.
“Diego (Forlan) will decide what happens, but it looks like his first choice will be England,” said Cerezo.
Since moving to Athletico Madrid, Forland has hit 66 goals in 102 La Liga appearances.
