Tottenham winger Gareth Bale will demand a move away from White Hart Lane if the club fails to hold onto star midfielder Luka Modric.
Modric has turned into the Premiership’s most sought after player following a series of superb performances for Spurs last season.
Such performances saw rivals Chelsea launch a £22m bid in order to secure his services, a bid that was flat-out rejected by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
However, the 25-year-old believes his future lies away from North London and is eager to join Andre Villas-Boas at Stamford Bridge.
Levy insists Spurs will not sell the Croatian and Bale has said that, should the chairman not fulfil his promise, he will be the next Spurs star to leave.
PFA Player of the Year Bale was the subject if intense speculation earlier in the season until an ankle injury forced the Welshman to miss the final three games of the season.
Nonetheless, the 21-year-old isn’t without his fair share of admirers and should he become available, the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Inter Milan would be expected to capitalise on the opportunity.
