Tottenham have confirmed that want-away midfielder Luka Modric will travel with the squad on their pre-season tour of South Africa.
The 25-year-old has been subject to intense speculation as of late after Chelsea saw a £22m bid to secure his services rejected.
Now with the Croatian blowing up a storm in regards to any potential move after threatening to hand in a transfer request should his demands not be met, Modric’s agent has confirmed that he will travel with the squad on their pre-season tour of last years’ World Cup hosts.
“Of course Luka will be going to South Africa,” Nikki Vuksan, Modric’s agent, said.
“He is a Tottenham player and he has a contract there.”
The former Dynamo Zagreb midfielder is now expected to line-up alongside his current team-mates on Saturday when Spurs face Kaizer Chiefs despite Chelsea making a renewed £27m bid last night.
