Tottenham are reportedly keen on bringing Xherdan Shaqiri to White Hart Lane, according to reports in Italy.
19-year-old Shaqiri, who currently plys his trade with FC Basel, has been linked with a host of clubs in recent weeks following the 2-2 draw with England last month.
However, his stock has risen considerably higher since then after he helped Switzerland to the finals of the U-21 European Championships, where they lost to Spain.
Prior to the tournament, the Swiss side were willing to let Shaqiri leave for as little as £5m however, that price has since doubled following his impressive performances in Denmark.
Spurs are keen to bolster their squad ahead of the new season and have bought in Brad Friedel and Cristian Cabellos thus far.
Chairman Daniel Levy wants to streamline the squad beforehand meaning manager Harry Redknapp has to sell fringe players, such as David Bentley, Robbie Keane and Giovani Dos Santos, before he can buy.
