Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker had admitted he is looking forward to getting back to Premier League action.
The 30-year-old moved to White Hart Lane on deadline day in a £5m transfer after spending four years with West Ham United, becoming their captain in the process.
And after starting the Hammers opening four league enouncters in the Championship, the England international is relishing a return to England’s top tier.
“I’m obviously delighted to be back in the Premier League. “I’ve had four fantastic years at West Ham.” Parker told Sky Sports News.
“I met many good people, many friends and the fans were fantastic to me there but I just felt it was time to move on. It was time for me to try and stay in the Premier League.
“I felt at this stage in my career I needed to be playing Premier League football.”
And Parker hasn’t ruled out a move back to Upton Park in the future, adding: “I want to thank everyone at West Ham, especially the fans, because they’ve been brilliant with me over the last four years.
“Hopefully I’ll go back there one day and get a good reception.”
