Tottenham return to domestic duties on Sunday and welcome Liverpool to White Hart Lane as both sides look to bolster their top four aspirations.
Harry Redknapp made ten changes for last night’s encounter with PAOK from the side that beat Wolves 2-0 last weekend, with Kyle Walker the only senior player to start both fixtures.
However, he is expected to recall the ten senior players that missed the Europa League encounter for Sunday’s lunchtime kick-off.
Redknapp is awaiting news on Ledley King, after the defender made an unexpected return to the first-team fold at Molineux last weekend.
Michael Dawson (achilles) and Sandro (knee) are both ruled out of the fixture indefinitely but better news for the Spurs manager as Rafael Van der Vaart (hamstring), Aaron Lennon (groin) and William Gallas (calf) are all making good progress on their fitness following time on the sidelines.
Steven Pienaar (groin) and Tom Huddlestone (ankle) both face late fitness tests but may have to settle for a start on the bench with Redknapp expected to stick with the side that won at Wolves.
For Liverpool, Steven Gerrard and Glen Johnson are the two main absentees for Kenny Dalglish but Martin Kelly is expected to return after recovering from a hamstring problem.
Expected starting XI:
Friedel; Walker, King, Kaboul, Assou-Ekotto; Kranjcar, Parker, Modric, Bale; Adebayor, Defoe
