Tottenham are hoping to continue their impressive away form when they come up against Swansea City on New Year’s Eve.
However, the squad are going to have to make the trip to South Wales without Jermain Defoe (hamstring) and Ledley King (knee).
Manager Harry Redknapp has reported that Aaron Lennon (hamstring) has returned to training but the game against the Swans comes too soon for a return.
Sebastien Bassong (back), Tom Huddlestone (ankle) and Roman Pavlyuchenko (ankle) are also expected to sit-out the encounter.
However, better news has seen Michael Dawson (Achilles) return to full training after four months on the sidelines.
“He’s (Defoe) trained with us today and we’ll have to wait and see how he is,” said Harry after training on Friday morning.
On Lennon, he added: “He’s coming on well, working on his rehab, but he’s not ready for Swansea.”
Meanwhile, on Dawson the Spurs manager said: “It’s great to see him back. He’s a fantastic player and a great guy.”
