Tottenham Hotspur are looking to increase the gap between themselves and fifth place to 13 points when they welcome Wigan Athletic to White Hart Lane tonight.
Despite manager Harry Redknapp entering the second week of his tax trial, it has been confirmed he will pick the team ahead of tonight’s encounter.
And the veteran tactician will be able to call upon Gareth Bale for the game after the Welshman sat out of the 1-0 win over Watford on Friday night with a thigh problem.
However, Aaron Lennon and Jermain Defoe look set to miss out on the evening encounter after both picked up hamstring complaints in the FA Cup win.
“We’ll have to see how they settle down,” said first team coach Joe Jordan.
“They will not train with the squad, they’ll train inside and do some physiotherapy, that’s it.
“We’ll then see how they are tomorrow.
“Gareth will train this morning and Ledley King will be available if he comes through training.”
Better news has Sandro return to training, but Jordan confirmed the game against the Latics comes too soon for his return to the first-team.
“Sandro has trained but he’s been out for a month and he’s not in the physical condition he was five weeks ago,” he added.
“But he’s back, his injury is clear and we’ve got to build him up now.”
