The Belgian is enjoying a fine season with Spurs again this time out and is also strengthening his reputation as a pass-master. So far in his three games in the Europa League this season he has made 283 passes with 266 of them being accurate (94%).
2) Sandro – Tottenham
Alongside his midfield team-mate the Brazilian has attempted 245 passes, 230 of which have met their target (94%). The 25-year-old is a monster in the middle and team often find it impossible to get the better of him.
3) Chico – Swansea
Another Premier League player now in Spanish defender Chico Flores, who has attepted 237 passes, completing 219 (92%) in his three appearances. The The distance on his passes have averaged 20m, which is further than anyone else in the top four.
4) Jose Canas – Swansea
Another Swansea player now, and another Spaniard as well. Canas – a summer signing at the Liberty Stadium – has attempted 236 passes and completed 219, which gives him an accuracy of 93% from his two games.
5) Jeffrey Gouweleeuw – AZ Alkmaar
The 22-year-old Dutch defender has played 218 passes so far in his three games, completing 178 – giving him an accuracy of 82%. Not quite quite as effective as the others, but the number of attempted balls are impressive.
