Tottenham face an important clash in the Europa League on Thursday as they face Fiorentina. The English side came back from the away leg with a crucial 1-1 draw and will be looking to put the Italian side to the sword at the lane.
Spurs also had to deal with a bit of bad luck as they found out that Harry Kane has broken his nose and the side also exited from the FA Cup after a shock loss against Crystal Palace at home. Tottenham though, didn’t play their strongest team in that game and they would be looking to avoid another cup exit in a few days.
We look ahead to an intriguing side and predict the starting lineup.
Hugo Lloris
The French goalkeeper did not play in the game against Crystal Palace and should make his return to the first team in this important game.
Kyle Walker
The right-back should play against Fiorentina and needs to ensure that the Italian side does not get the better of him.
Toby Alderweireld
The Belgian was rested in the last game and it showed how badly they need him back in defence. Toby will have to play his socks off to do well.
Kevin Wimmer
Wimmer had a shocker in the last game and needs to do better especially with Vertonghen being out for a while.
Ben Davies
Danny Rose had a poor game in the FA Cup and he should be replaced by Ben Davies.
Eric Dier
The English midfielder was played in defence against Palace but should revert to his preferred role in midfield for Spurs against the Italian side.
Ryan Mason
Without Dembele who is out injured, it could be Mason who gets the chance to show his ability in midfield for Spurs.
Nacer Chadli
The Belgian attacker could have a big role to play if Spurs are to progress into the next round, hopefully he can get them through without a lot of problems.
Christian Eriksen
Eriksen will hope to do the damage for Tottenham and get the goal that sends them through into the next round, he has been one of their best players and this is the time to be counted.
Dele Alli
The English attacker has come leaps and bounds this season and should remain in the side to face Fiorentina.
Harry Kane
Kane will play on with a broken nose; hopefully he can score a goal or two and send Tottenham in the next round.
