This Spurs team played exquisite football at times and were able to grind out results whenever needed in tough away games. Sadly, this young team faltered at the last hurdle and could not catch the well deserved champions, Leicester City. But the progress that has been under Pochettino is there for all to see and the future under him will be an exciting one for all the supporters.
The continuous pressing and the complementing of the Fullbacks in the buildup has been done to near perfection this campaign. Pochettino has worked wonders with such a young squad and it’s rewards are being reaped by the English National team by the emergence of Eric Dier, Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Dele Alli and Harry Kane. The next thing will be to bring similar type of players who will complement the current team well and are willing to fight for the shirt that they will represent.
With each passing day, new players are being linked to the club and Daniel Levy has his work cut out in the summer and Spurs are expected to be very busy in this transfer period. A dream lineup will consist of all the players that are being speculated to arrive at the Lane and also of those who are the best in what they do at the club. So let’s take a look at the dream attack that will bring glory next season:
Left wing: Christian Eriksen
The Danish international has been an instrumental player under the Argentinian regime and his dead ball skills are one of the finest. Next season will be his toughest test and it will be great to see how Eriksen performs at the highest level.
Attacking midfield: Dele Alli
Alli was rightly given the PFA young player of the year award and will play a crucial role for the three lions in the Euros. He also scored the goal of the season against Crystal Palace which really was a sight to behold. Alli needs to perform consistently if he wants to justify his talent.
Right wing: Alexandre Lacazette
Lacazette is said to be the no.1 target for the Spurs and it will be a dream for all the supporters to sign a world class player after ages. Lacazette has been consistent since last three seasons and was also the Ligue 1 top scorer in the 14-15 season. His partnership with Kane can terrorize the entire League and his versatility to play on the right side of the midfield and also in a free roaming role with Alli and Kane can be the way forward for the Club.
Striker: Harry Kane
Kane was the best striker in the league last season and proved that he was not a one season wonder. He scored a whopping 25 goals and he along with many will face the toughest season in their careers.
