A  £22m signing, Son Heung Min’s career at Tottenham didn’t really take off after his move from Bayer Leverkusen. The South Korean star did seem to be out of place in certain games but did show glimpses of how good he can be in other matches for the Premier League side.

The 23-year-old could be in line with a move out of White Hart Lane since he only scored nine goals in all competitions last season and even though there are a number of people asking for him to stay at the club and continue his development, if Spurs can get a better player for the position, then why should they not move to buy someone?

With the transfer window opening soon and a lot of players switching clubs pretty soon, here are three players who could replace Son at Tottenham.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan

The Armenian ace at Borussia Dortmund seems set to be one of the next players leaving the club. Tottenham have been heavily linked with the 27-year-old and the fact that Mkhitaryan can do a lot more than just play in the Son role and would certainly make this an attractive singing for Tottenham.

Henrikh is at the top of his game and he would certainly be a top singing for Spurs. He provided 20 assists and even scored 21 goals for Borussia Dortmund in all competitions last season and with a swap deal including Son, who knows, this could well be the best deal any club pulls off all summer.

Adam Lallana

The former Southampton star has not been able to replicate his form for Liverpool, similar to what he used to do at the Saints. The 27-year-old is one player who starred under Mauricio Pochettino and he could find his lost form again under the Argentine manager.

Lallana is a good player but not extremely important to Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp could let go of the English star if he gets the right amount from the London club. Lallana did score seven goals and provided seven assists but he is capable of doing much more than that and this is exactly what Pochettino would be hoping for if he does sign him to replace Son.

Lorenzo Insigne

The Napoli star has gone from strength to strength and it does seem to be a matter of time before he too moves away from the side. Although he would not be able to move to England all too easily considering his affinity to stay in Italy and the fact that Tottenham would have to pay a bomb, the 25-year-old did score 13 goals and provided 11 assists as well.

He can also play in a range of positions which will certainly make him one player to move for in the summer and with Tottenham having guaranteed Champions League football next season, Insigne could be the surprise signing that no one would have tracked.
