Vitality at the South Coast was to be the venue where Tottenham Hotspurs’s unbeaten streak would have been severely tested but yet again the men in white had a frustratingly entertaining game where the game ended as a nil-nil draw. Coming from a Champions League game, Spurs were ensured the top spot if they were to beat Cherries but an absolutely resilient performance meant that a frustrating afternoon kept the lily whites on third position level on points with Manchester City. Danny Rose started for Spurs amidst injury concerns while Victor Wanyama and Dembele formed a pivot. Kyle Walker made his 200th appearances and Hugo Lloris once again stood commandingly between the goal posts. Here is how the players of Tottenham were rated against Bournemouth :-

GK : Hugo Lloris – 7/10

Commanding display from Hugo Lloris once again. Still very high on confidence after the midweek excellence. Another positive clean sheet.

RB : Kyle Walker – 6.5/10

Made several high-intensity runs and capitalized on the space on the right.

CB : Eric Dier – 6.5/10

Had big boots to fill with Toby Alderweireld’s absence and the young starlet gave a good account of himself. He surely has a bright future ahead.

CB : Jan Vertonghen – 7/10

The Belgian put in a solid performance at the back and a sublime tackle in the dying seconds on Wilshere prevented Bournemouth from a huge chance at goal.

LB : Danny Rose – 6.5/10

Started even though Ben Davies was tipped to start ahead of him and Rose performed well. Made good runs down the left but superb defending from Bournemouth kept his threat at bay.

CDM : Victor Wanyama – 6/10

Had a very intriguing tussle with Harry Arter throughout the game and he didn’t have an easy one at all. Made a brilliant tackle in the end ensuring Tottenham kept the clean sheet.

CDM : Moussa Dembele – 6.5/10

Drove forward whenever given the chance but had limited time on the ball to do anything to influence the game.

Erik Lamela was yellow carded in the first half and also hit the bar

LM : Erik Lamela – 6.5/10

Rattled the post in the first half and was energetic throughout but he just couldn’t find the ending product or a crucial decisive touch.

RM : Christian Eriksen – 5.5/10

Took time to settle in the game and came into his own in the second half but nothing impressive yet from Eriksen.

CAM : Dele Alli – 6.5/10

A frustrating afternoon for the rising young man but he tried immensely and battled well. Showed flair and witty movement but end product again wasn’t to be found.

FW : Heung-min Son – 5/10

A surprising silent game for Son even though he looked energetic but just couldn’t finish his chance when given. Can expect much better from the player in the future.
