Serie A Giants Rival Real Madrid In The Battle For Tottenham Superstar

Tottenham’s plans for keeping Harry Kane longer at the club could get a severe jolt as the English striker is a target for one of the biggest clubs in the world. While Real Madrid have been linked with a move for the attacker, AC Milan are set to join the race according to the Express.

The Serie A giants have not had the best of seasons in recent years but with new owners coming in and completing the takeover of the club, it is expected that they will have a lot of funds to spend and Kane is one of their top targets as they look to rejuvenate the team.

Reports suggest that the Italian club will be bidding big for Kane in the January window and that could test the resolve for the Spurs management. The problem lies with the fact that Kane is holding out for a large contract extension but Daniel Levy is unwilling to budge from the wage structure currently at the Premier League club.

The 23-year-old did score a brace in the 3-2 win over West Ham during the weekend and his loss would be a huge one for Tottenham.

Not the first time a player has moved from Spurs for a huge sum of money

Most Tottenham fans will remember Gareth Bale moving to Real Madrid from Tottenham a few years ago and he has become an important player in the team. Even Dimitar Berbatov and Luka Modric left the side for better pay and possibly better chances of picking up silverware.

This is where Tottenham have a hand over AC Milan as the Serie A side aren’t going to challenge for any laurels any time soon. They are still a work in progress and the Premier League side are in a better condition as they look to win the Premier League title and battle for other laurels.

The other reason why this deal won’t go through is that Tottenham won’t want to sell Kane for any price. He is irreplaceable in the team and they still rely heavily on him, possibly Pochettino will veto any decision to sell the star striker who has saved their skin time and again over the past season or two.

This comes as a warning to Tottenham that they could still lose out their star players if they don’t get their contract extensions quickly done but for now, Kane is a Spurs player and he isn’t going anywhere.
