Tottenham were looking to get back to winning ways in the FA Cup as they faced Fulham away. Spurs had lost their last two matches against Liverpool and Gent and fans would have expected a reaction from Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
Spurs were dominant in the game and made light work of the Championship side. Harry Kane scored a hat-trick, his fifth for Tottenham and his club could have scored a lot more hand it not been for wasteful finishing.
The London side now look forward to a quarter-final tie in the competition and will be hopeful of a similar performance against Gent in the return leg of the Europa League on Thursday.
Kane undoubtedly was the man-of-the-match in the tie but how did the other players fare?
Michel Vorm – 7/10
The former Swansea man was given a chance to impress and he certainly did well, although he wasn’t tested all that much by the home side.
Ben Davies – 7/10
After the horror show against Liverpool, Davies has looked a little better in recent games but he still needs to hone his game up.
Jan Vertonghen – 7/10
The Belgian was partnering Alderweireld at the back and it showed just how good the pair is as they were barely threatened by Fulham.
Toby Alderweireld – 7/10
Alderweireld looks a completely different player when he is partnering Vertonghen and the Belgian pair were not troubled by the Fulham team a lot.
Keiran Trippier – 8/10
The right-back was excellent for Spurs as he played a part in a couple of goals and also was great while defending against the home side.
Harry Winks – 8/10
The young midfielder was given a chance to impress and he certainly did well in the game even though he was up against a tough Championship side.
Victor Wanyama – 7.5/10
The Kenyan was a beast in midfield and tried to break up anything that the home side tried to put up in attack. He was a major reason why Spurs dominated the game.
Son Heung-min – 7/10
The South Korean wasn’t at his best today and was not the most impressive in attack either as his teammates took over.
Dele Alli – 7.5/10
Alli was close to scoring early on and shot wide, he had a good chance in the second half but shot high on the volley before providing Kane with the assist for the third goal.
Christian Eriksen – 8/10
Kane set him up early in the fourth minute but his shot was well saved. The Dane provided a couple of assists for the English striker and was great overall in the attack.
Harry Kane – 9.5/10
The only reason Kane didn’t get a perfect score is because he missed a couple of chances. The Englishman was excellent for Tottenham and was at the right place and made a lot of great runs for the away side.
Substitutes
Moussa Sissoko – 6.5/10
Sissoko had a quarter of an hour to play in the game but didn’t really have a lot to do with the game already won.
Mousa Dembele – 6/10
The Belgian was brought on with a few minutes left in the game.
Josh Onomah – NA
The youngster was given a handful of minutes to play and couldn’t really do much.
