Tottenham continued their charge for the top four with a win over Everton at White Hart Lane. The hero was Harry Kane, once again, as he bagged a brace and notched up his 19th league goal of this season against the Toffees.
It was Kane who started the scoring in the 20th minute before he doubled the lead for the home side after halftime in the 56th minute. The game was dominated by Tottenham but Everton did make a fight of it at the end as Romelu Lukaku scored with just nine minutes remaining.
Tottenham did secure all the three points with a late goal from Dele Alli before Enner Valencia reduced the margin as he too scored for the away side late on.
The win kept Spurs seven points behind the leaders Chelsea, who have a game in hand, and also opened up a four point lead over Liverpool, who lie in fourth place.
With Harry Kane firing on all cylinders, Twitter was lit up with a lot of great updates about Spurs and here are the best ones from the game.

Arsenal better get their act together because there is no way I can handle seeing Tottenham finish 6th. We are too good for that

It will be a bottom of the barrel season if Tottenham finish above Arsenal. Sad way for Wenger to end his reign. Hope it doesn’t happen.

Everton fans boo entry of Sissoko. Probably should have been cheers as, so far, they dodged a bullet when he snubbed them for Tottenham
