Everton and England midfielder Ross Barkley has been linked with Tottenham this week and the news seems to be growing quickly as talks about Tottenham’s new stadium construction keeps prompting the media to look deep into transfer activities of Spurs. The Merseyside midfielder is reportedly leading the queue to sign the England midfielder ahead of other Premier League rivals.
Although Ross Barkley is an extremely talented player and a great prospect, the rumour did not go down well with Tottenham fans and there were mixed reactions from the supporters.
Few people were happy about the rumour and few felt that Barkley wouldn’t be a good signing.
It is understandable as the current Spurs squad has enough quality in midfield and an addition to that department would be a luxury and not a necessity.
We picked some reactions from twitter for Barkley’s link to Tottenham and here they are.
Would Barkley or Zaha get in our first 11? Would we be buying to strengthen the squad again and not the first team?

Why do Spurs fans not want Barkley? Plays multiple positions. Still young & has room for improvement. Would thrive under Poch #thfc

More links to Ross Barkley today. Would be a superb signing. Would have englands best three young players.
— Connor (@ConnorShacklock) March 21, 2017
Ross Barkley is a really brilliant talent and is one of the best English youngsters around. He would certainly link well with Harry Kane and Dele Alli and hence Spurs must consider buying the youngster. Buying Barkley would help Spurs build a stronger English core than that of their local rivals, Arsenal.
