Tottenham Hotspur and Moussa Sissoko are reportedly (via L’Equipe, h/t Insidefutbolset to hold showdown talks regarding the player’s future at the club as doubts grow regarding his time at White Hart Lane.

The Frenchman has struggled to nail down a starting place in the Tottenham setup under Mauricio Pochettino after arriving from Newcastle United on the deadline day last summer.

After an impressive Euro’16 campaign, a lot was expected from the Frenchman and he hasn’t matched those expectations by any means. With the World Cup’18 coming up at the end of next season, Sissoko would be keen to get some regular playing time in order to impress Didier Deschamps and earn his place back in the French National team.

It would be important to hold discussions regarding Sissoko’s future as his contract runs till 2021. It is believed that AC Milan and Inter Milan are also interested in signing the player.

Moussa Sissoko has made a total of 26 appearances this season for Tottenham and has provided 4 assists. Pochettino has tried playing him in various positions but nothing seems to have worked.

It is understandable for Pochettino to be disappointed with his summer signing as the player does not seem to respond despite the manager trying new things. If things continue to move as it does now, then Sissoko might be heading for the exit doors.

It would be better for both the parties if they arrive at a conclusion soon as they would be wasting significant time if they delay the decision.
