Ross Barkley has been one of the players linked with a big money move away from Everton and was rumoured to be a target for Tottenham.
Mauricio Pochettino was apparently fed up with the lack of form from Moussa Sissoko and it was expected that a swap deal for Barkley was in the offering in the winter window.
While that deal didn’t materialise, Tottenham could return with another bid for Barkley in the summer and with performances like the one he put up against Leicester City, the Englishman could turn out to be a great signing for Pochettino.
Ronald Koeman added more fuel to the fire by claiming that Barkley could leave the Goodison Park if he doesn’t sign a new contract and that led to a number of tweets from Tottenham fans celebrating the performance of the Evertonian.
