Tottenham Chief Scout Steve Hitchen Was Present At Dortmund’s Champions League Game vs Monaco – American Ace Scouted

Christian Pulisic

Tottenham seem to be looking to steal a march on Liverpool as they are interested in signing Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic.

The American has risen to prominence for the Bundesliga club and was in action in the Champions League match against Monaco which the German side lost 3-2 after the terrible attack that took place prior to the game. Reports claim that the London club had their scout Steve Hitchen at the stadium as he was keeping a tab on Pulisic and maybe a few other Dortmund youngsters.

Dortmund are adamant that they will not let Pulisic go on the cheap and had even pegged Liverpool’s advances back when they were interested in the American star in the winter window.

Pulisic is one of the brightest players in the Bundesliga and will cost a huge amount as Dortmund want to keep hold of their young talent. They have the likes of Ousmane Dembele, Julian Weigl and Emre Mor and this group of youngsters will be looking to grow and develop under Thomas Tuchel.

Our Verdict

Mauricio Pochettino has been looking to add quality to his side and with Tottenham more or less guaranteed Champions League football, bringing in the best talent from around the world of football would become easy.

Signing someone like Pulisic will be tough and it will take a bit of magic and a lot of money to convince the American to leave his German home for a return to England. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Tottenham actually try to bring in and maybe send another player out at the club in a swap deal.

The London club need to bring in a few players more if they are to challenge and even win the Premier League next season and Pulisic joining their side can certainly take them to the next level.
