Tottenham star Erik Lamela is continuing his recovery from the hip injury he suffered earlier. Lamela spent 6 months trying to make a comeback, before undergoing a surgery to try and find a permanent solution to the problem.
It now looks like the Argentine is stepping up his rehabilitation process after undergoing the surgery last month. Lamela released a video of him strengthening his hip using a medical ball and it seems like the attacker is determined to make a comeback as soon as possible.
Lamela has made only 14 appearances this season and has approximately played 1000 minutes of football this season. He had scored 2 goals and 7 assists before injuring himself. Surely, Erik would have had a memorable season had it not been for his unfortunate injury.
Here’s a video of Lamela sweating it out to make his comeback.
A direct contribution of 9 goals in 14 games is a good return, especially because he did not play the entire 90 minutes duration in 5 of those games. It is always unfortunate for a player to be injured, especially when in a good run of form.
Lamela would surely have found it difficult during his recovery phase and hopefully, once he returns to action, he continues from where he left off. Lamela will be a crucial part of Pochettino’s plans next season given that Tottenham have had problems on the wings.
Good luck with your recovery Erik Lamela! Come back stronger than ever!
