Tottenham have been linked with a number of players for a summer deal but one striker has caught the eye thanks to a wonder goal scored recently.
Spurs aren’t the only club looking to sign Patrik Schick, who plays for Sampdoria. The 21-year-old forward has scored 10 goals in Serie A from 27 appearances, and even though that isn’t a great record to have, Arsenal are also looking to add the Czech Republic striker to their ranks.
Here is just one example why Schick is getting so much attention. He scored a brilliant goal against Crotone in a loss and it will remind people of a wonder goal scored by a certain Dutch striker.

Italian source Gianluca Di Marzio reported last week that Spurs are willing to meet the €25m release clause (h/t calciomercato.com) for the player.
Schick isn’t someone who will get you a ton of goals but he could be a cheap alternative for Mauricio Pochettino to sign should he want to replace Vincent Janssen. However, the Spurs manager would not want to repeat his past experiences of signing dud players from other leagues.
Even signing players within the league hasn’t worked out too well for the Argentine with Moussa Sissoko failing to impress and seemingly on his way out of the club.
Our Verdict
Sampdoria would be looking to gain as much as they can if they do want to sell him but Tottenham should be wary of spending way too much on a player that really hasn’t proved his scoring abilities at all.
Pochettino should look at some other young options and maybe promoting someone from the youth team should he really look for cover for Kane and even Janssen. The Dutch striker seems to be slowly finding his feet at White Hart Lane and could come good next season.
Till that time, at least we can keep watching some brilliant goals and if Schick keeps on scoring these kinds of goals, a big money move is just around the corner.
