In possibly the biggest clash of the weekend, Tottenham will take on Arsenal and for once Spurs can ensure they will finish above the Gunners in the Premier League table.
While Tottenham have had a fine season and could still win the Premier League title, Arsenal are struggling to make it to the top four and are in serious danger of missing out on the Champions League.
The clash will be important for Arsene Wenger, who has seen a mini-revival with his club winning tough games against Middlesbrough before dumping Manchester City out of the FA Cup and beating Leicester City 1-0 at the Emirates.
The Frenchman has also tinkered with his side in the last few games and has even opted to play three at the back. Wenger might be looking to try something similar according to Sky Sports pundit Shaun Goater.
“I could see him playing five at the back,” Goater told Sky Sports. “Certainly against Tottenham. (h/t Football Insider)
“Tottenham will want to throw their full-backs, go forward and I could see him playing with the wing-backs to nullify the full-backs and try to exploit when they do go forward.”
It will be an interesting clash to say the least as Mauricio Pochettino also uses a 3-5-2 to devastating effect and his team could end the hopes of Arsenal making the top four come the end of the season.
Spurs also came out from a tough game against Crystal Palace, who had defeated Liverpool in the weekend and the team played with three at the back at Selhurst Park as well.
Christian Eriksen got the winner for the Lilywhites and they will expect similar fireworks from the Dane and the rest of the team as they look to chase down Chelsea, who are four points ahead at the top of the league standings.
If Wenger does opt for three at the back, Spurs should have a better chance of dominating the game as Pochettino has become a master at deploying the system. Whatever happens, goals and drama are guaranteed when the two sides meet on Sunday at the Lane.
