Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing 17-year old Inter Milan striker Andrea Pinamonti. The youngster has caught everyone’s eye with his performances this season and it looks like Spurs are considering a move for the Inter boy.

Pinamonti has been brilliant for the youth teams of Inter and the Italian club believe that they have a potential superstar in their hands. He even made his Serie A debut this season and it looks like he will soon be promoted to the Inter first team.

Tottenham seem to be interested in bringing the talented striker to White Hart Lane as they have been alerted by the youngster’s potential.

However, a major stumbling block could be Pinamonti’s discussions with Inter over a new deal with the club. The boy’s agent Tullio Tinti revealed to Calciomercato (h/t talkSPORT),

“In addition to the new contract, we are also discussing the sporting plans with the Nerazzurri. Andrea is highly regarded in Italian and European football, but his attachment to Inter will have an effect on his decision.”

Pinamonti has scored 16 goals in 19 appearances in the Primavera C, and has made 2 appearances for the senior team – one each in Serie A, Europa League.

However, Tottenham cannot really slot Pinamonti into the first-team even if the player agrees to join us. There’s the phenomenal Harry Kane, backed up by a young and talented Vincent Janssen, who seems to be determined to nail down a place in the starting XI.

It would be a good move to buy the player and probably send him out on loan, or play him in the youth team. However, if Spurs intend to ease the player into the senior team quickly, then sending him out on loan to a small club in any top-flight division would be the right move.

It will be interesting to see if the Tottenham’s interest in Pinamonti is concrete or not.
