Tottenham gave the fans a fitting farewell in the final game at White Hart Lane as we defeated Manchester United 2-1. The day was packed with emotion as memories of the 118-year-old stadium were shared by one and all and there were a number of Tottenham legends watching on from the stands.
Surprisingly, it was Victor Wanyama who got the opening goal before Mr. Tottenham, Harry Kane, scored his first ever goal against Manchester United with a neat flick from a Christian Eriksen cross.
Wayne Rooney, however, got the final goal scored at the iconic ground but the win did ensure Tottenham would finish the season second and Kane certainly seems to be the man for the club next season.
Kane notched up his 22nd league goal as he looks to wrap up another Golden boot award and the Twitterati were quick to share their excitement regarding the Englishman and Tottenham.

Can you even call yourself a Spurs fan if you’re on the pitch and you don’t try and hug Kane?

Sad to see the end of White Hart Lane – a proper old football stadium. Fitting that Kane scored the last Tottenham goal there.
