Huge Update On Pochettino’s Future At Tottenham – Argentine Clears The Air About His Contract Situation

We can all breathe a sigh of relief as rumours of Mauricio Pochettino leaving Tottenham can all but be shelved, at least until next season.

The Argentine has been one of the best managers ever since he set his foot in England as he took Southampton from strength to strength and has done wonders at White Hart Lane too.

We have seen how the team has progressed under him and it isn’t a surprise that other clubs are linked with a move for Poch. Sky Italy had claimed that Inter Milan were willing to stump up £10m, which was his release clause.

Inter have had a woeful season and they have also been linked with Antonio Conte, Diego Simeone, and Luciano Spalletti. But Pochettino has now come out and said he isn’t going anywhere and is contracted at Spurs with no release clause either inserted in his contract.

“No, no buyout clause in my contract,” he was quoted as saying by football.london at a press conference held prior to Tottenham’s Premier League game away at Leicester City.

“I will stay here next season. There are many many rumours but I am committed to Tottenham. I have no reason to leave the club. I will stay here, don’t worry. You will see on July 3 at the start of pre-season, I will stay here. Don’t worry.”

Pochettino surely will be looking to take the team one step better next season and even though we are playing our home games at Wembley, he will find a way to get rid of our blues at the stadium.

The rumour of Poch joining Inter didn’t really make a lot of sense simply because he wouldn’t want to move to a club where there is turmoil and since he has a huge hand to play in the youth team here, Pochettino certainly is looking to create something big here.

For now, we can enjoy a few more good years under the Poch and we can dream of winning a few titles too.
