Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko has apparently been a victim of some flak from the fans this season owing to his poor performances on the field. After arriving from Newcastle United last summer, much was expected from the Frenchman but he hasn’t even been close to living up to them as he has endured a torrid time at White Hart Lane this season.
He wasn’t, by any means helpful for Tottenham in the title challenge that ended painfully after a 1-0 defeat at the hands of West Ham United.
Sissoko started the game against Leicester City, which Spurs comfortably won 6-1, thanks to a Harry Kane masterpiece combined with Son Heung-min’s brilliance. Kane scored 4 goals while Son scored a brace in a completely one-sided encounter at the King Power stadium.
Moussa Sissoko took Twitter to thank the wonderful support that the team received. However, he received a mixed reaction from the fans, with some of them offering their support to the player. Few fans expressed their frustration at Sissoko’s performance this season.
Here’s what Sissoko tweeted after the game.
Amazing performance from the team tonight! Big thanks travelling fans! #COYS pic.twitter.com/bAcJZnEaWM
