Kyle Walker shows Tottenham roots as he takes a dig at Arsenal

The craziness regarding the Kyle Walker saga seems to be unending as new reports come out on a regular basis. The latest bit comes from the Daily Mail which claims that we are willing to let go of the England international ahead of the next season.

Walker has been of great interest to Manchester City and Pep Guardiola will be looking to start afresh with a number of quality signings for his ageing City team. The report claims that any suitors for the 26-year-old right-back would have to pay around £45 million.

The decision to let go of Walker would be a tough one for Poch as the Englishman has become one of the best in the league but the money being touted certainly is mouth-watering.

The only way any deal can go through for Walker is if we decide to sell him to a club outside England. Selling him to a City or Manchester United would make our opponents stronger and that is something we should not be thinking of doing.

Walker too seems to be a little disillusioned and his lack of playing time in the final few games might raise a number of questions about his and Poch’s relationship. Adding to that, Trippier has done a great job at the right-back slot and many fans think letting go of Walker for a huge sum would be a decent move.

Our Verdict

What we need to do is keep a strong side for a better challenge at the Premier League title next season and letting go of Kyle would be a big mistake. The two parties have to sit down and work out their problems rather than being linked with transfers in the summer.

We have great team chemistry and breaking it up, even for a decent amount might turn out to be a big mistake next season. Walker also needs to understand that moving away during a World Cup year could fail big time for him and sticking at Tottenham is the best for him.
