Tottenham have been linked with a shock £30million move for Bundesliga winger Karim Bellarabi, with Arsenal also believed to be in the chase. According to Bild, both the London clubs are in for Bellarabi and could go head to head for his signature.
Actually, this is bizarre! I do not think Bellarabi is the player we need on the right wing (not that I want Sissoko to stay) but not Bellarabi for £30m. We can get better players for the same price and Pochettino would know this as well.
Bellarabi scored 4 goals and provided 6 assists from 19 appearances last season and he certainly isn’t Tottenham quality. He is 27-years old and a lot of young and better players would be available in the market for that price. Signing him would mean nothing but madness.
A lot of fans share my opinion too, as it was evident from their reaction on Twitter. Ever since the news broke out, the reaction hasn’t been all positive about this and only a very few of them seem to be excited about this. We managed to gather few tweets and put them together to make a reading.
Don’t know much about this guy, but I think we need a decent winger with pace

Need to fill the hole left from Eriksens departure to Barcelona

Bellarabi is decent wide player. But I saw the fee to be close to €30m. A bit high maybe. Phillip could be a bargain

Still a better winger than Sissoko though.
