Tottenham Installed As Favourites To Sign England And France Internationals, Flop Signing Tipped To Stay

Kyle Walker shows Tottenham roots as he takes a dig at Arsenal

Ross Barkley

Tottenham have been bookmarked as the favourites to sign Everton star Ross Barkley. The Englishman has long been linked with a move away from Everton ever since he refused to extend his contract with the Merseysiders. Ross Barkley’s Everton future is still up in the air and the bookmakers believe he is Tottenham-bound.

The arrival of Davy Klaassen at Goodison Park has cast further doubt on Barkley’s future and Ronald Koeman is yet to announce whether or not he will sell the 23-year-old. Spurs have been linked with a move for Barkley and SkyBet (h/t Football.london) have installed Mauricio Pochettino’s side as 9/4 favourites for the attacking midfielder.

They believe that Barkley will move to Tottenham, so much so that the player is just 7/2 to remain on Merseyside next season.

A certain Monaco attacker has been tipped to join us as well, with the odds being slashed at 10/11. Thomas Lemar is 13/8 to remain with Ligue1 champions Monaco, while Arsenal are priced at 9/2 to secure his signature.

Bournemouth’s Joshua King is another player who has been linked with us and is 1/4 to remain on the south coast, while SkyBet have Everton at 5/1 and Spurs are priced at 13/2 to secure his signature.

The Sun earlier reported we could make a move for Manchester United star Chris Smalling who is way down the pecking order at Old Trafford. Tottenham are fourth favourites at 9/1 for Smalling, with West Ham leading the way at 11/4, Newcastle at 7/1 and Everton at 8/1.

With us linked with a move for Smalling, Eric Dier has been tipped to make a move in the opposite direction. Reports suggest that the Red Devils could meet our £50m (Daily Express) valuation and SkyBet have made them 5/4 favourites if he does move – although the player is 4/7 to remain at Spurs.

Kyle Walker has long been linked with a move to Manchester City all summer and he is odds-on at 4/6 to link up with Pep Guardiola. Walker is 11/10 to stay with Spurs and Bayern Munich are priced at 16/1 for the English speedster.

Finally, there are still question marks regarding Moussa Sissoko’s future at the club after a disastrous season with us. He joined us only last summer and the bookies believe that Sissoko will remain with us. He is priced at 6/4 to stay at Tottenham, while Marseille are at 5/2 to bring the player back to France.
