While Tottenham Hotspur are yet to make a mark in this summer’s transfer window, they have received a big boost ahead of an all-important Premier League campaign, as Son Heung-Min has joined the squad following a successful completion of a recovery of his fractured arm.

The 25-year-old was subbed off in South Korea’s 3-2 World Cup qualification defeat to Qatar last month after he injured his hand, handing Tottenham a big blow as they already had Erik Lamela on the treatment table since a long time. Although it was made certain that he would miss Tottenham’s pre-season tours, it was quoted that the extent of Son’s injury was unknown.

And now, Son is reportedly undergoing ‘non-contact’ training to get to full fitness ahead of Tottenham’s first Premier League game against Newcastle United.

With Lamela picking up an injury early in the first half of the previous season, Pochettino deployed Son in various areas of the field and the South Korean didn’t disappoint a bit. Making a total of 34 league appearances last season, Son bagged 14 goals and 6 assists.

Lamela has been out of action since October 2016, with his last appearance coming in Tottenham’s EFL Cup defeat at Anfield. He has been nursing his injury since then and had surgeries on both of his hips towards the end of the season. Lamela could make his return somewhere in October, after spending close to a year on the treatment table.

While our attacking unit is fit as a fiddle, except Lamela of course, our defence needs a bit of nursing. Danny Rose, who hasn’t played a single game since January after picking up a knee injury against Sunderland, is expected to be out until the end of August.

Having said that, here are some of the best reactions of the fans, after Lamela and Rose were spotted in Tottenham’s new jersey:
