Tottenham might have signed Davinson Sanchez in this transfer window but that has not been enough to mask our deficiencies. We were caught out once again in the 1-1 draw against Burnley thanks to a late goal and major questions are being asked of not only the players but also the management.
There still has not been a breakthrough in the signings of Ross Barkley, who was set to join us early on in the window. Serge Aurier is another player who is expected to join us from Paris Saint-Germain but even that move seems to have hit troubled waters.
Aurier was not given a visa to play against Arsenal last season due to an assault case in Paris and it does seem a little weird that we want to sign him up. There is no doubting his quality but his temperament has always been in question, especially when he blasted the PSG management during a session on the social network.
Nevertheless, without any other senior right-back apart from Kieran Trippier, there is a need to bring quality into the side. Kyle Walker-Peters did do a pretty good job but with the Champions League and domestic cups coming up, we cannot rely on the pair alone.
Twitter was lit up with a number of fans sharing their opinion of Aurier being our next signing and here are some of the best responses from the site.
For @UKHomeOffice to grant @Serge_Aurier a UK work visa. https://t.co/0X2QwZrCgZ

I really don’t understand why #Aurier‘s transfer depends on him getting a credit card! #visa

Spurs have to get Aurier done. Only available RB that’s not a downgrade on Walker
