Tottenham Target Could Join Crystal Palace For €25 Million – Reports

Cenk Tosun

Cenk Tosun, the Tottenham target, is still wanted by a Premier League side playing in London but it is not us. FutNSoccer has linked the Turkish star with a move to Crystal Palace and the striker had earlier stated that the Eagles had made a bid for him but he couldn’t leave Besiktas at that moment.

Tosun scored 24 goals in all competitions for the Turkish side last season and he even picked up the league title with the team. The 26-year-old seems to be ready to move now and according to reports, Palace are willing to spend €25m to land the forward in January.

Roy Hodgson’s side are at rock bottom in the Premier League and have no wins from their opening 7 matches in the competition. Things look really bleak for the side as they haven’t scored a single goal either but letting in 17 goals.

Frank de Boer got the sack after a run of poor results and the former Liverpool and England manager, Hodgson, does not seem to be faring any better. Palace do need a miracle to survive and for the time being it does seem likely that Tosun will join the Eagles.

While we do require cover for Harry Kane, we have one in the form of Llorente. Tosun would want to play regularly for the first team and that would mean him getting chances in the Champions League or other cups. Palace, on the other hand, could drop Christian Benteke or even use Tosun as the second striker behind the big Belgian as they look to get some points on board before Christmas.

We all know that any club at the bottom of the table during the festive season is more or less guaranteed to go down and the Eagles would be looking to avoid doing that.

Tottenham would need to use their extensive scouting team to find another striker should Tosun end up at Palace or any other club.
