“Harry the strong” Spanish Publication Praises Spurs Striker Ahead Of Crucial Champions League Clash

Harry Kane

With the Champions League back in action this week, Spanish newspaper Marca has already started their build-up to Tottenham’s trip to Santiago Bernabeu by bragging about the history of Tottenham and have also quoted how wonderfully the team has been performing in recent years.

Furthermore, by giving a brief of how Tottenham can progress in coming years, the newspaper has put Tottenham striker Harry Kane on the front page. Wait, many might wonder it is again the same old link to Real Madrid, but Marca have changed their horizon this time around. Despite claiming the transfer activities, Marca have talked about the threat Harry Kane possesses right now.

Dubbing the England international as ‘Harry the strong’, Marca has talked about his numbers and has also pointed out his brilliant records since the turn of the year. Speaking of the entire squad, unlike Pep Guardiola, the newspaper has explained how brilliantly Mauricio Pochettino has shaped up such a young team to one of the title favourites in the past couple of the years. Besides, the fact that Tottenham managed to hold on their star players this summer has been headlined as a ‘miracle’.

But there lies an underlined suggestion that all eyes will be on Harry Kane once the Lilywhites step onto the field of Santiago Bernabeu on the night. Deny it as much as you can, but Kane has gathered a spotlight from Real Madrid. The Spanish vultures will soon come to pluck him away and then time will decide how Tottenham fight for his stay.

Well, there are rumours that Madrid president Florentino Perez has asked his advisors to keep a keen eye on Kane and all have been impressed by his form both for the club and for the country. Besides, Jorge Calabres, director of popular fan website ElBernabeu.com, while talking to ESPN, has also underlined that Madrid will of course come for Kane one day, if he continues to build on his form.

“If Kane keeps up his level, then of course Madrid will be interested,” Calabres said.

“He is the big sensation of the season so far. I see him as one of Madrid’s big targets for next summer, although it will be awkward due to his price and the difficulties of getting players out of Tottenham. I would like him for Real Madrid, no doubt about that. Zinedine Zidane’s team are missing this type of player.”

Let the night come when Kane finally steps on the Bernabeu grass and then decide what lies next.
